304 Series Loadframes
Rigid high force four-column fatigue-rated axial load frames for material or component characterization.

Our load frames are versatile test systems used for a variety of applications, from simple monotonic proof tests, to highly complex Thermo Mechanical Fatigue (TMF) experiments. The systems can be configured to run standard ASTM tests as well as unique custom protocols. The load frames are paired with our industry leading controller, and pumps to create highly accurate and durable test instruments. Our load frames are specifically designed to provide maximum rigidity.

The load frame structure is specifically designed to provide maximum rigidity for high force applications. The Series 304 load frames feature 4-column symmetrical construction with a fixed-platen and moveable crosshead on hydraulic lifts with hydraulic locks. On these free standing units, the actuator is mounted below the platen with the load cell affixed to the crosshead, or the actuator can be mounted to the crosshead, so that it extends from the top. A T-slotted base can add further flexibility for fixturing. These frames can be configured with either polymer or optional hydrostatic bearings.

Note that we also build 4 column and two column frames for Axial Torsion applications (see our 306 line) and a full line of 2 column load frames for lower loads (see our 302 and 303 lines). Our 301 series frames are tabletop units.

The 304 Series load frames come in standard configurations with other force combinations and configurations available on request. All units are delivered fully equipped including linear actuators, servo valves, service manifold, load cell, and LVDT.

The 304 Series Load Frame can be supplied with a variety of accessories such as load cells, grips, furnaces, environmental chambers, and extensometers to meet your specific testing needs.
